Samsung has launched a new smart television in South Korea called the Movingstyle Smart TV, a device designed for both stationary home entertainment and mobile productivity. This new model combines the features of a standard television with the functionality of a portable, battery-operated touchscreen monitor.

The core of the device is its 27-inch QHD display, which offers a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. The screen supports a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth motion and includes full touchscreen capabilities. The television is designed to be used with a rolling stand that provides height adjustment for optimal viewing angles. A versatile mounting system allows the screen to be used in either a traditional landscape orientation or a vertical portrait mode.

The design emphasizes portability through its detachable screen. The display unit can be separated from the stand to function as a standalone monitor on a desk. For mobile use, it features an integrated handle for carrying. This handle is engineered to double as a kickstand, enabling the monitor to be propped up on flat surfaces without requiring a separate stand. This functionality is supported by a built-in battery.

According to Samsung, the internal battery delivers up to three hours of operation on a full charge, allowing for use away from a power source. The device is powered and recharged through a USB Type-C port. Internally, the Movingstyle TV operates on Samsung’s Tizen OS and offers integrated support for Bixby and Google Assistant for voice control.

Audio is delivered through a built-in 2-channel speaker system with a total output of 10 watts. For connectivity, the device is equipped with a single HDMI port, two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3. Samsung has set the initial price for the Movingstyle TV at 1,440,000 won in South Korea, which converts to approximately $1,035. There has been no official information regarding plans for a global release of the product.
