Huawei has officially announced the launch of its first Mate TV at a new product release conference scheduled for September 4th. This confirmation follows the initial announcement of the Mate TV during a smart screen conference weeks prior, and the subsequent launch of registrations for the Mate TV Pioneer Program.
The company released a teaser image confirming the launch date, generating anticipation for the event. Huawei describes September 4th as “a really amazing day” marked by the debut of several new products. The Mate TV will be unveiled alongside other devices, including the Mate XTs tri-fold phone, MatePad Mini, and FreeBuds 7i.
Huawei’s official statement regarding the launch reads: “Big Mate, big difference, first #HuaweiSmartScreenMateTV# Peaks set sail. At 14:30 on September 4th, Huawei’s largest Mate in history, so stay tuned!” The launch event is scheduled for 14:30 on September 4th.
This marks the first instance of Huawei introducing a “Mate” lineup to its smart TV offerings. The “Mate” branding has been previously associated with Huawei’s smartphones, foldable phones, tablets, and PCs. The Pioneer Program allows users to experience the new device before it goes on sale.
