Cult hit “Euro Truck Simulator 2” appears to be making its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, according to recent listings on the PSN and Xbox stores. While an official announcement from developer SCS Software is still pending, the appearance on console storefronts suggests a release is imminent, with industry observers speculating a reveal could occur during Gamescom this week.
“Euro Truck Simulator 2” has been a significant success on PC, having sold over 15 million copies as of 2024. The simulation game allows players to experience life as a long-haul truck driver, transporting diverse cargo across a vast network of European cities, including locations in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Poland.
Key features of the game include the ability to transport a wide variety of goods across more than 60 European cities, manage and grow a trucking business by building a fleet of trucks, purchasing garages, hiring drivers, and optimizing company profits. Players can also extensively customize their vehicles with both performance upgrades and cosmetic modifications, such as optional lights, bars, horns, and unique exhausts.
The game boasts thousands of miles of real road networks, incorporating hundreds of famous landmarks and structures, offering an immersive European trucking experience.
