Huawei is reportedly planning to release a more affordable version of its Watch Ultimate in 2025, potentially featuring premium specifications and advancements over previous models. This information comes from Weibo tipster @FixedFocus, who indicated that Huawei intends to launch this new wearable with additional benefits.
The original Watch Ultimate Design, Huawei’s first satellite smartwatch, debuted in 2023 at 5999 yuan (approximately $878 USD). Last year, Huawei launched the Watch Ultimate Design Sapphire Gold, priced significantly higher at 23999 yuan. These iterations saw the integration of advanced technologies, often accompanied by increased pricing.
Details regarding the specific features, improvements, and pricing of the supposed 2025 Watch Ultimate Design are currently undisclosed. However, its existence suggests a new “Ultimate Design” model is in development.
Recently, alongside the Mate 70 and Mate X6 foldable phones, Huawei introduced the high-end Watch Ultimate Design Sapphire + Gold Edition. This luxurious wearable is crafted through over 70 processes, incorporating golden knife-like patterns and 18K gold bars. For enhanced durability, the watch case is made from an ultra-strong amorphous zirconium alloy, while the strap utilizes aerospace-grade titanium alloy. These materials contribute to the device being 4.5 times stronger and 2.5 times stiffer than its predecessor.
Feature-wise, the Watch Ultimate Design Sapphire + Gold Edition boasts two-way satellite SMS capability and UWB smart car control, allowing users to unlock vehicles directly from the smartwatch without needing a smartphone.
