Samsung to unveil Galaxy S25 series on January 22
Samsung has indicated that the event will showcase the next generation of Galaxy AI, which aims to create “a more natural and intuitive Galaxy AI” that will “change the way Galaxy users interact with the world.” The event will be streamed live through the Samsung Newsroom, the main Samsung website, and Samsung’s YouTube page.
Pricing information
As of January 7, 2025, the pricing for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and its models has been revealed. The Galaxy S25 512 GB model is expected to be priced at €1,079. In comparison, the Galaxy S24, which launched in January 2024 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, was priced at €960. With all models in the Galaxy S24 family anticipated to come with a minimum of 12 GB of RAM, the S25’s pricing reflects an increase of €90 over the previous year, alongside enhancements in memory and storage. It remains uncertain if the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra will see a price increase alongside similar storage and memory upgrades, though the S25 Ultra’s 12/512 option is projected to be priced similarly to the 2024 Galaxy S24 Ultra’s cost of €1,570.
Pre-order and sale dates
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 Ultra are expected to open on January 24, 2025, two days after the launch event, and will remain available until February 4. Historically, pre-orders have included several promotional offers to attract consumers, such as discounts on accessories like the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, an upgrade to the next storage level, and exclusive web-only colors available through Samsung’s website.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, will officially go on sale on February 7, 2025. This timeline maintains Samsung’s traditional two-week gap between the start of pre-orders and the handsets’ availability in various regions worldwide.
