Rich Communication Services (RCS) is like the upgraded version of text messaging, bringing cool features to our chats. But there’s a big problem: spam.

To tackle this, Google Messages is testing a new feature. According to PiunikaWeb, it warns users when they try to open links from people they don’t know in RCS messages. This helps them stay safe from scams and bad stuff online.

Tech fans found this feature in the test version of Google Messages. It shows Google is serious about keeping us safe while we chat. This is especially important as RCS gets ready to join iPhones soon. More users mean more chances for spam, so it’s good to be prepared.

The warning only pops up for links from unknown senders, so it won’t bother us when chatting with friends. This smart move keeps our chats safe without being annoying.

While we wait for this feature, we can block unwanted numbers and report spam messages to keep our chats clean. It’s all about staying safe and informed in our digital world.

With Google Messages leading the way, we’re moving closer to a spam-free future in RCS. That means chatting with friends and family, without worrying about unwanted messages ruining the fun.
