Now you can play Fortnite as if you were with your friends on HouseParty.

Through a video call in the HouseParty virtual conference app, now fans of this app and of the Fornite game will be able to play together in a kind of virtual room.

The integration allows up to 10 people at a time playing in the same room and they can come and go as they please, besides it is not necessary to play to be attentive to the game.

Although for now the interactions between the presenters will be focused on being able to see the reactions of the other in real time, the founder of House Party did not rule out the possibility that in the future other types of reactions or actions can be integrated into this game mode.

One of the features that this format offers for now is that they can personalize the background with which the user’s face appears in the Fornite room in HouseParty; however, although the system does detect the person’s face in order to integrate the background properly, it does not store the image and the detection is lost as soon as the person leaves the shot.

The group video application is currently available for Fornite players on PCs and Sony’s PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles and to start playing this way users will also need the latest version of HouseParty installed on their smartphones. Due to the restrictions that Apple maintains with Fortnite, to enter the game mode from an iPhone you must enter from House Party and only to watch the game and live with the rest of the users.

Houseparty, was acquired by Epic Games -the developer of Fornite- in June last year and so far Fortnite is positioned as the most downloaded mobile game of 2020 with 350 million players until May 2020, according to Statista.
