Is your Sims 4 Growing Together not downloading? Well, there are so many other users that are reporting the same problem.

The Sims 4 has seen a ton of additional content-filled expansions and DLC since its initial release in 2014. ‘Growing Together’ is the most recent addition to the game.

Sadly, it appears that a number of gamers are unable to enjoy the new content because of problems with the primary EA desktop client at the moment.

The Sims 4’s Growing Together not downloading issue is reported to be including the game not launching, or even existing on the EA app, according to numerous accounts.

Why is Sims 4 Growing Together not downloading?

The PC gaming community is well aware of how glitchy and troublesome the EA app can be at this point. We discussed player complaints about the app’s subpar performance last year.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed since then. The fact that playing several popular games, like The Sims 4, now requires the EA app makes it look as though the issues are worse.

This implies that users of Origin who bought The Sims 4 can no longer use that client. The EA app is required for both starting the game and purchasing/downloading DLCs and expansions.

Having said that, “Growing Together” for The Sims 4 has been accessible to everyone for a few hours. But, using the expansion with the current EA client or downloading it is a true hassle.

The EA app periodically cannot download or pre-download The Sims 4 ‘Growing Together’ since the process simply pauses at the ‘preparing’ stage.

Also, there are instances where the expansion is downloaded but fails to launch because of a boot-up problem. Even the EA app library for others does not have The Sims 4 ‘Growing Together’.

Similar to this, other players report that the EA app won’t even launch because of a “500 error”.

A portion of the user base argues that EA should reconsider its choice to make such key titles need the use of the EA app. As these problems will still exist in the current client status, updates will just make them worse.

When will the Sims 4 Growing Together not downloading issue be fixed?

The Sims development team acknowledged the problems and even stated that a fix was in the process of being implemented. But, this most recent announcement was made yesterday, and more information about the malfunctioning EA app keeps appearing. Also, not everyone is having success with the offered workaround.

But, the community has also identified another alternative solution that might assist you in resolving the problems caused by the EA app.

Is there a workaround?

Consider moving your ‘The Sims 4’ DLC or expansions to a different, much more reliable PC client, such as Steam, if you want to avoid dealing with EA app troubles in the future.

You must have both clients installed and have purchased the base version of “The Sims 4” on Steam (EA app and Steam).

The expansions and DLC you bought on Origin or the EA app will automatically appear in your Steam library after you finish the transaction.

When updates break the game instead of improving it like the Sims 4 Growing Together not downloading issue, there’s nothing to do but get frustrated. However, we estimate that the issue will be fixed y the end of the weekend at the latest.
