Xiaomi is developing an eSIM-enabled flagship smartphone set for mass production and launch in 2026. The move follows the recent release of its new-generation Ultra model, which features advanced camera specifications. The company is also working on a “Plus” device to succeed the Ultra.
Tipster SmartPikachu revealed that Xiaomi plans a flagship series including a special eSIM variant. This handset will enter mass production next year, positioning it as a competitor in the high-end market. While the model name remains undisclosed, online speculation points to the MIX foldable series.
The device may incorporate 3D face recognition, a variable-aperture camera, and the XRING 02 chip. Huawei recently introduced eSIM support in its Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design, which includes dual eSIM technology.
Currently, only Huawei, Honor, and Apple equip their flagship phones with 3D face recognition. Xiaomi’s upcoming eSIM model positions it to enter this category. Additional details about the phone are not yet available.
