Samsung has begun distributing the final major operating system update for the Galaxy A73, a phone released in 2022. The device originally launched running Android 12 and came with a commitment for four major Android upgrades. This current update brings the phone to Android 16 with One UI 8, marking the last major OS version it will receive.
The rollout is currently underway in Asia, specifically in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The update carries the build number A736BXXUAGYJ1 and is a 2.5 GB download. It includes the September 2025 security patches. Owners of the device can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The release is expected to reach more regions in the coming days and weeks.
