Samsung has initiated the stable release of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series, marking a significant expansion of its latest software version.
The rollout commenced in South Korea and is anticipated to extend to users in the US, UK, India, and other global regions shortly. This follows months of beta testing, fulfilling Samsung’s plans to broaden the availability of One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, to its flagship Galaxy S25 lineup.
The initial One UI 8 stable build for the Galaxy S25 series is a 3.8GB update, identified by version numbers S938NKSU5BYI3/S938NOKR5BYI3/S938NKSU5BYI3, varying by region. The update incorporates the September 1, 2025, security patch.
According to the changelog, the update introduces new functionalities, including automatic call captioning and the Now Brief feature.
Prior to this release, stable One UI 8 was exclusively available on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The expansion to the Galaxy S25 series represents a notable increase in the availability of Samsung’s latest stable release.
