OpenAI has unveiled the OpenAI Grove, a new program designed for technical individuals at the nascent stages of company building. Unlike a startup accelerator, the Grove provides pre-idea individuals with a talent network, opportunities for co-building with OpenAI researchers, and resources to expedite their journey.
Participants will explore initial concepts and receive guidance from the OpenAI team and their peers within the Grove community. The program is structured as the beginning of a long-term network and will commence with five weeks of programming at OpenAI’s San Francisco headquarters. This includes in-person workshops, weekly office hours, and mentorship from OpenAI technical leaders.
Furthermore, participants will gain hands-on experience with new OpenAI tools and models before their public release. After the program’s conclusion, participants can explore options for raising capital or other paths, both within and outside of OpenAI.
The inaugural Grove cohort will consist of around fifteen participants. OpenAI encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and experience levels. The application deadline is September 24th, 2025.
