Nvidia has launched GeForce Game Ready driver 581.29 in anticipation of the Borderlands 4 launch. Alongside the driver release, Nvidia has updated its app to incorporate a new RTX Remix update, empowering modders to enhance older games with modern fire and smoke particle effects.
The RTX Remix update brings improvements to fire and smoke effects, now supporting over 165 games. This allows modders to further refine these visual elements in classic titles.
Driver 581.29 provides DLSS 4 optimizations for Borderlands 4, which will also support Multi-Frame Generation and Nvidia Reflex. Additionally, the driver includes optimizations for Dying Light: The Beast, ahead of its release next week, enabling DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLSS Frame Generation.
The RTX Remix tool has already enabled modders to significantly improve older games. Nvidia previously showcased the capabilities of RTX Remix alongside its RTX 50-series GPUs using Half-Life 2 as a demonstration earlier in the year.
