Honor is reportedly gearing up to launch its Honor 500 series in China by the end of the year, according to Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The new lineup is expected to follow Honor’s established formula, focusing on camera capabilities and lightweight designs.
The Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro are anticipated to feature 6.5-inch displays and retain the 200MP resolution for their main cameras, although a different sensor is expected to be used. These models will likely emphasize a camera-centric experience.
The report also mentions the Honor GT 2 series. Details remain vague, but it suggests that one or both phones in the GT 2 family might feature a larger 6.83-inch display. These devices are also expected to include high-performance chips and large-capacity batteries.
While specifics are limited at this stage, further information about the Honor 500 series is expected to emerge as the anticipated launch date approaches. The company’s busy schedule this year includes the Honor Magic8 series in addition to the 500 series.
