Google is expanding its AI integration with the launch of “Flight Deals,” a new AI-powered travel search tool designed for budget-conscious and flexible travelers. Rolling out in beta over the next week in the US, Canada, and India, Flight Deals is accessible within Google Flights.
This tool allows users to articulate their travel intentions using natural language prompts, moving away from manual date and destination selections. It then leverages real-time Google Flights data to identify the most current deals from various airlines and booking operators, incorporating any additional user-provided information.
Google stated that Flight Deals is launching in beta to gather user feedback, which will be used to enhance its capabilities. A planned future update includes an option to exclude basic economy fares for users in the US and Canada. Travelers can access Flight Deals either through a dedicated webpage or via the top-left drop-down menu on Google Flights.
