EA Sports has unveiled the roster of Icons for its upcoming title, EA Sports FC 26, set to launch on September 26, 2025. This announcement also detailed pre-order bonuses, particularly for the Ultimate Edition, which offers early access and exclusive in-game content.

Players who pre-order the EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Edition by August 26 will receive one of fifteen untradeable Icons from the Early Access Launch. This bonus includes a selection from the new class of Icons, alongside fan favorites such as R9, Thierry Henry, and Steven Gerrard.

The newly revealed class of FC 26 Icons features a mix of legendary figures from both men’s and women’s football. Among them are Zlatan Ibrahimović, who is also the FC 26 Ultimate Edition cover athlete, and Alex Morgan, a prominent USWNT player. Other notable Icons include Andrés Iniesta, Toni Kroos, Caroline Seger, Giorgio Chiellini, Sissi, Francesco Totti, Marcelo, Steffi Jones, Oliver Kahn, and Cha Bum-Kun.

Zlatan Ibrahimović expressed his excitement about his inclusion, stating, “No matter what they say, Zlatan is back. For the fans who always believed in me, you can now play as Zlatan, as an Icon, the way it was meant to be.” Alex Morgan also shared her enthusiasm, remarking, “I’m excited to be able to further my legacy in FC 26 as an Icon. To be recognized among the game’s Icons is an honor, and I hope to continue inspiring the next generation of players who dream of leaving their mark on the field.”

For fans of the Clubs mode in FC 26, several of these new Icons will inspire distinct Archetypes, offering players more control over their Pro’s development and play style. Examples of these Archetypes include Zlatan Ibrahimović as a ‘Target,’ Alex Morgan as a ‘Finisher,’ Toni Kroos as a ‘Maestro,’ Oliver Kahn as a ‘Shot Stopper,’ and Andrés Iniesta as a ‘Creator.’

The Debut Icon received through the Ultimate Edition pre-order will be available starting September 19, coinciding with the Early Access Launch. These Debut Icons are designed to recognize an early moment in a player’s career, showcasing their potential as a generational talent. In November, these Debut Icons will upgrade to a Champion version, which will commemorate an iconic moment when the player earned major silverware during their career, solidifying their Icon status.

EA Sports FC 26 will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Early access for Ultimate Edition purchasers begins on September 19, 2025.

Additionally, EA Play members will receive a 10-hour early access trial starting September 19, 2025. EA Play members also benefit from various in-game rewards, such as seasonal Ultimate Team Draft Tokens and Clubs rewards, along with a 10% discount on EA digital content, including pre-orders, game downloads, FC Points, and DLC.
