It offers an alternative to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing users to control Sonos speakers, adjust volume, group devices, and play music from streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify. A key feature is its emphasis on privacy, with all commands processed locally rather than in the cloud.
Since its inception, the smart assistant’s functionalities have gradually expanded to include setting timers and checking the weather. The upcoming compatibility with Philips Hue is expected to allow users to turn individual lights on and off, adjust brightness, or activate pre-set scenes using voice commands, though specific details remain unconfirmed.
