Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A17 has made an early appearance, listed by several European retailers ahead of its official launch. This latest addition to the Galaxy A-series introduces several enhancements, including Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, an upgraded display, and optical image stabilization (OIS) for its main camera.
The Galaxy A17 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, offers a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, and houses a 13MP selfie camera within a waterdrop notch.
For photography, the device boasts a 50MP main camera with OIS, complemented by a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera. Powering the phone is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. Additional features include IP54 ingress protection and expandable storage via a microSD card slot.
Software-wise, the Galaxy A17 runs One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung has committed to providing 6 OS updates and 6 years of security patches for the device. It will be available in Black, Blue, and Gray color options. Pricing details from retailers show the 4GB RAM/128GB storage model listed at €230 in France, while the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant is priced at €309 in Spain. An official launch date for the Galaxy A17 has not yet been announced.
