The RedMagic 10S Pro, a gaming smartphone combining high-performance hardware with an elaborate cooling system, is now available globally. The device features the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chip, a dedicated gaming chip, and an integrated active cooling fan.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version in the 10S Pro exhibits higher clock speeds compared to the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite. The CPU reaches up to 4.47GHz, an increase from the usual 4.32GHz, while the GPU clocks up to 1.2GHz, up from 1.1GHz. This enhanced chip also boasts a 40% increase in NPU performance.

To maintain sustained peak performance, the RedMagic 10S Pro incorporates cooling solutions inspired by gaming PCs. A key element is the use of 36mm² of liquid metal in direct contact with the chip. This material offers superior thermal conductivity over traditional thermal pastes, and RedMagic credits it with a 5°C reduction in chip temperature. Heat is transferred from the liquid metal to a substantial 12,000mm² vapor chamber, supplemented by graphene and copper layers. This setup works in conjunction with a high-speed, yet quiet, 23,000rpm active cooling fan designed to expel heat from the device. The cooling fan features customizable RGB lighting with up to 15 color options.

The RedMagic 10S Pro is offered with configurations ranging up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, though specific options vary by color variant. The device launches with RedMagic OS 10.5, which is based on Android 15.

A defining feature of RedMagic phones is the rectangular display. The 10S Pro features a custom 6.85-inch OLED panel from BOE with a 1216p+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, with specific frame rate support dependent on the game. Complementing the Snapdragon chip is the RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip. This dedicated silicon handles super resolution upscaling, enabling the phone to achieve 120fps in numerous titles. The RedCore R3 Pro also manages input processing for low-latency touch detection and contributes to the overall cooling system.

The display offers a single-finger sampling rate of 2,500Hz and a multi-finger sampling rate of 960Hz. In addition to the touchscreen, the phone features two shoulder triggers with a 520Hz sampling rate for enhanced gaming control. A customizable MagicKey is also included, defaulted to launch Game Space but adaptable to other functions.

Battery life is addressed with a large 7,050mAh battery, capable of fast charging at up to 80W. For an immersive gaming experience, the phone includes 4D tactile feedback and DTS:X-certified stereo speakers. The rear RGB lighting can be configured to react dynamically to in-game sound cues, adding a visual element to the audio experience.

Photography capabilities include a triple rear camera setup. The main camera utilizes a 50MP OV50E sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by a 50MP OV50D ultra-wide camera and a 2MP helper module. For selfies, a 16MP camera is discreetly located under the display.

The RedMagic 10S Pro is scheduled for open sale globally on June 18th. A pre-order period will precede the open sale date, with further details to be announced. Pricing for the RedMagic 10S Pro varies depending on the color and memory configuration across different regions. Available configurations include 12GB RAM/256GB storage in Nightfall (Matte Black), 16GB RAM/512GB storage and 24GB RAM/1TB storage in Moonlight (Silver Transparent), and 16GB RAM/512GB storage and 24GB RAM/1TB storage in Dusk (Black Transparent).
