Sony has released “The Last of Us Complete” for the PS5, a bundle containing both The Last of Us Part I and Part II, timed to coincide with the premiere of the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us” on April 13th, 2025.

The downloadable version of “The Last of Us Complete” was announced and released by Sony on April 10th, 2025. The bundle includes both games alongside extra features like the roguelike mode and a collection of “lost levels”. This release aims to provide a simple entry point for new players coming to the series, particularly those who have watched the HBO show and are looking to experience the games. Although existing PS5 enhanced versions of both games are already available separately, the new collection offers a convenient package for newcomers.

The physical collector’s edition of “The Last of Us Complete” will be released on July 10th, 2025. This version includes a steelbook case, art prints, and comic books, making it a comprehensive package for fans. The physical edition will be exclusive to PlayStation’s online shop, indicating a strategic decision to promote sales through Sony’s official channels.

The timing of “The Last of Us Complete” release is significant as it aligns with the launch of the second season of the HBO series. By releasing the bundle just ahead of the show’s premiere, Sony is likely aiming to attract viewers to the games, capitalizing on the renewed interest in the franchise generated by the television adaptation.
