Apple recently released iOS 18.4 for iPhone users, introducing features like Priority Notifications, new emoji, and an Ambient Music feature, but the update has been marred by reports of bugs and performance issues.

Evidence of an upcoming iOS 18.4.1 update has surfaced in analytics data, indicating that Apple is actively testing the update before its release to the public, which could happen as soon as this week. The data, observed by 9to5Mac and MacRumors, suggests that the update is in the final stages of preparation.

The iOS 18.4.1 update is expected to focus on addressing the bugs and performance issues reported by users. One of the significant problems reported is with CarPlay, which some users have experienced major issues with after updating to iOS 18.4. Discussions on Reddit have highlighted that other users are also facing issues such as worsened battery life and thermal performance compared to iOS 18.3.2.

Furthermore, some iPhone users have reported that the iOS 18.4 update resulted in the restoration of previously deleted apps on their devices. While the exact changes in iOS 18.4.1 are not yet known, the update is anticipated to include various bug fixes and performance optimizations to rectify these issues.

Meanwhile, Apple is also beta testing iOS 18.5, although it is not expected to include any major changes. The development of iOS 18.5 is proceeding alongside the preparation of iOS 18.4.1, indicating Apple’s ongoing efforts to refine and improve the iOS experience for iPhone users.
