Xiaomi plans to launch a new Redmi gaming tablet alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra in Q3 2025, with expectations set for July or August release, according to tipster Digital Chat Station.

Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet lineup

The anticipated Redmi gaming tablet will be part of a broader expansion of Xiaomi’s tablet offerings in 2025. It is speculated to be a successor to the Redmi Pad Pro, though its official name is yet to be confirmed.

The gaming tablet is expected to feature an 8.8-inch LCD display designed for smooth visuals, supported by a high refresh rate. It will be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400+ processor, which is an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 9400, promising flagship-level performance.

Additional features include dual X-axis linear motors that enhance haptic feedback, dual USB-C ports for improved connectivity, and a dual-speaker setup that offers immersive audio experiences.

The device will have a metal unibody design, ensuring durability while keeping a lightweight form factor suitable for extended gaming sessions.

The Redmi K80 Ultra, debuting alongside the gaming tablet, is expected to feature a 6.8-inch display with a 1.5K resolution flat OLED and will also use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip. The Redmi K80 Ultra will include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, a metal middle frame, a substantial 7,000mAh+ battery, and 100W fast charging capabilities.

In addition to the Redmi K80 Ultra and gaming tablet, Xiaomi is set to release the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro shortly. This device has received 3C certification confirming 90W fast charging and is expected to launch in April 2025. The Turbo 4 Pro will feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with high-frequency PWM dimming, a metal frame, and a 50MP dual-camera setup, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite SoC.
