Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, recently shared his thoughts on artificial intelligence at the Talent Arena 2025 in Barcelona, coinciding with the Mobile World Congress 2025.
Wozniak, known for his candid opinions, has previously discussed AI, his early days at Apple with Steve Jobs, and even debunked the garage myth surrounding Apple’s founding. This time, he offered a nuanced perspective on AI, acknowledging its benefits while also expressing concerns about its potential downsides.
According to Wozniak, “I’m not against artificial intelligence, but I think that its use should be more sincere. It should be indicated if something has been generated with AI and the sources of where it has obtained the information that shows as result. I do not like that the use of the AI is so generalized; I think that it is better that the persons express its ideas and choose them same.” He emphasized the importance of transparency, advocating for clear labeling of AI-generated content and proper attribution of sources.
Furthermore, Wozniak highlighted the potential risks associated with AI, warning that “Something that I do not like of the AI is that it has an dark face. The AI and the chatbots can be a tool more for the delinquents.” He expressed concern that AI could be exploited by criminals, adding a darker dimension to the conversation.
