LG introduces UltraGear OLED monitors ahead of CES 2025

The standout model, the LG UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor (45GX990A), is a 45-inch, 5K2K display that can transition from flat to a 900R curvature within seconds. This model boasts a 0.03ms GtG response time and includes LG’s Dual Mode feature for quick toggling between resolutions and refresh rates.

The LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (45GX950A) offers a fixed 45-inch screen in a 21:9 format with 5K2K resolution, ultra slim bezels, and support for DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90W power delivery. It is also compatible with AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync.

A smaller option, the LG UltraGear 39GX90SA, features a 39-inch curved display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. This model is equipped with multiple USB-C ports, allowing connection to several devices simultaneously.

All models in the GX9 series are certified for low blue light emissions and reduced eye strain, suitable for extended gaming sessions. They include an anti-glare coating that enhances usability in bright environments.

The 45GX990A model has received three CES 2025 Innovation Awards, including “Best of Innovation.” It is recognized as the world’s first bendable gaming monitor featuring a 5120 x 2160 resolution.

LG’s previous bendable OLED monitor debuted at $2,999, with potential pricing details for the new models expected at CES 2025, which will take place from January 7 to January 10.
