It’s a significant new content Event Week in GTA Online, announced by Rockstar, featuring snowfall across Southern San Andreas. This festive period runs from December 19, 2024, to January 1, 2025, introducing new vehicles, holiday rewards, and limited-time modes. Players can expect double rewards on selected missions, alongside several seasonal events that evoke the holiday spirit.
New vehicles and festive gameplay in GTA Online
GTA Online‘s winter update includes the addition of two new decommissioned law enforcement vehicles available for purchase. The Invetero Coquette D10 Pursuit, a high-performance pursuit car, and the Willard Outreach Faction, the first lowrider patrol car, bolster the game’s offerings. Players can acquire the Coquette D10 through Warstock Cache & Carry after completing the Slush Fund mission from The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid as a leader. Completing 10 Dispatch Work assignments unlocks its Trade Price. The Willard Outreach Faction follows a similar progression, requiring completion of Slush Fund along with the Slow and Low mission from Lowriders.
Additionally, the Taco Van Pegasus Vehicle enhances gameplay, becoming accessible by completing the new Health Code Violations Taco Van Dispatch Work mission.
The holiday season grants players a collection of festive gifts during the event period, including themed weapon finishes, seasonal outfits, and useful items. Logging in between December 19 and January 1 grants players rewards such as a Festive Penguin Onesie, Gold Reindeer Pendant, and a Firework Launcher equipped with 20 rockets, among other items. The Happy Holidays Hauler delivers GTA$, RP, and bonuses around the snowy streets, ensuring players are rewarded aptly for their engagement.
In a unique twist, players can partake in holiday-themed missions for extra rewards. The Entourage (Festive Remix) mode is active, allowing participants to earn 3X GTA$ and RP. Contributing to the seasonal fun, players must protect Santa while thwarting Krampuses within the gameplay, unlocking exclusive rewards such as the Snowman Finish for the Combat Pistol and the Santa’s Helper Finish for the Heavy Sniper by completing specific challenges.
Returning festive modes offer nostalgic gameplay
Seasonal favorites return to enhance the overall festive atmosphere, including The Gooch, Weazel Plaza Shootout, and Yeti Hunt. Players can engage in these time-limited events and gain bonuses for their participation. Completing challenges in these returning modes allows players to earn unique outfits and specialized items. The Yeti Hunt gives players the chance to receive the Yeti Outfit, while defeating The Gooch nets the Gooch Outfit.
Players must also locate and destroy 25 snowmen scattered throughout the game to claim the Snowman Outfit, and successful navigation of the Weazel Plaza Shootout results in acquiring the WM 29 Pistol and the Season’s Greetings Pistol Mk II Skin.
Profit opportunities are ripe this holiday season, with doubled rewards across various missions. Players can maximize earnings with the passive income from the new Garment Factory, Dispatch Work from Vincent, and Pizza Deliveries. These bonuses will remain in effect through January 1, encouraging players to engage actively in the festive offerings.
Discounts and exclusive vehicles enhance holiday shopping
Rockstar has catered to vehicle enthusiasts as well by providing discounts and curated holiday-themed vehicles at the Premium Deluxe Motorsport showroom. The special offerings feature models like the Übermacht Revolter and Vapid Clique, both donned in festive liveries. The Bravado Banshee GTS and Dinka Jester RR Widebody are available at the Luxury Autos showroom as new designs.
Additional discounts extend across various vehicles in the game, allowing players to benefit from significant price reductions up to 40%. The Gun Van also offers enticing discounts on several weapons, further enriching the in-game economy during this holiday period.
