The recent White Dudes for Harris Zoom call was a phenomenal success, raising over $4 million from approximately 190,000 participants. Among those in attendance were Hollywood celebrities Jeff Bridges, Mark Hamill, and Mark Ruffalo.
This event was aimed at rallying support for Kamala Harris‘s bid for the White House.
The White Dudes for Harris Zoom fundraiser
White Dudes for Harris Zoom fundraiser was just one of several positive developments for Harris’s campaign. The day also saw the launch of a new advertisement, an endorsement from a Republican mayor in Arizona, and an acknowledgment from Republican VP candidate JD Vance that Harris poses a greater threat to Trump’s campaign than Joe Biden.
The event included potential vice-presidential picks such as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Jeff Bridges, famous for his role in “The Big Lebowski,” and Mark Hamill, who secured a $50,000 donation by quoting Star Wars, were standout participants.

The event exceeded expectations, with speakers stressing the importance of organizing and supporting Harris.
Kamala Harris, who made history as the first woman of color to be elected vice-president, is now set to lead the Democratic ticket following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race. Her campaign has seen a surge in support, with 170,000 volunteers and $200 million raised in just one week.
Growing support and criticism
Despite the enthusiasm for Harris, Trump and his supporters have criticized her rise, framing it as a result of diversity initiatives. However, the success of events like “White Dudes for Harris” indicates strong and growing support.
Other celebrities on the call included Mark Ruffalo, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Scheer, Josh Gad, Sean Astin, JJ Abrams, and Bradley Whitford. The event lasted over three hours and followed similar successful gatherings for Black women, Black men, and white women supporting Harris.
Donald, I do hope you'll reconsider meeting me on the debate stage.

Upcoming events include a “cat ladies for Harris” call in response to JD Vance’s derogatory comments, a “Latino Men for Kamala” call, and a “Labor for Harris” call hosted by the AFL-CIO.
The “white women for Harris” call recently raised nearly $8.5 million, while the “Black women for Harris” Zoom call drew about 90,000 participants, and the “Black men for Harris” event saw over 53,000 registrations.
Crucial battleground states
As Harris and Trump remain neck-and-neck in key battleground states, the momentum from these fundraising events is crucial. Harris’s campaign has also been bolstered by the endorsement of the Republican mayor of Mesa, Arizona, and the release of a new ad highlighting her credentials.
Adding to the campaign’s momentum was a leaked audio recording of JD Vance admitting Harris’s candidacy posed a significant challenge to the Republicans, underscoring the impact of her campaign’s recent strides.
