The Nvidia RTX 50 Series leak appeared on Seasonic’s popular PSU wattage calculator. AMD has also updated it for its Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 desktop processors, so the release date could also be very close.
The update will help hardware enthusiasts accurately calculate power requirements for next-generation systems. We told you last February that Nvidia’s RTX 50 Series might include a GPU feature. Here’s what we know.
Nvidia RTX 50 Series leaked, but only Thermal Design Power
Seasonic’s update includes the TDP (Thermal Design Power) of all Blackwell architecture Nvidia graphics cards from RTX 5090 to 5050. The new data allows users to compare the power consumption of the RTX 50 series with the previous generation RTX 40 series, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.

Here are some highlights:
- RTX 5060’s return with 12GB VRAM: Updated data shows that RTX 5060 will come with 12GB VRAM, differentiating it from RTX 4060’s 8GB VRAM design.
- Performance and price difference: Seasonic’s data shows that the largest generational TDP increase is on the 60-series GPUs. This suggests that Nvidia may have increased TDP in response to criticism of the performance and price gap between the RTX 4070 and 4060.
In the table we have prepared for you below, you can see comparatively the TDP values of Nvidia GeForce series graphics cards:
Nvidia GeForce | TDP (W) | Nvidia GeForce | TDP (W) |
---|---|---|---|
RTX 5090 | 500 | RTX 4090 | 450 |
RTX 5080 | 350 | RTX 4080 | 320 |
RTX 5070 | 220 | RTX 4070 | 200 |
RTX 5060 | 170 | RTX 4060 | 115 |
RTX 5050 | 100 | RTX 4050 Desktop | 50 |
AMD Ryzen 9000 and Radeon RX 7000 Series also added
Seasonic has also included AMD’s next-generation products in the update. The Ryzen 9000 series desktop processors, including the Ryzen 9 9950X, 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X, are now available in the calculator. Unreleased AMD Radeon RX 7990 XTX and RX 7500 XT graphics cards have also been added to the TDP database.
Nvidia RTX 50 Series release date
According to rumors, estimates on the release date of Nvidia’s RTX 50 series GPUs point to fall 2024. Given that the company is usually good at timing new GPU releases, the top-end RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models could launch in the coming months.
These Seasonic PSU wattage calculator updates provide important information about Nvidia’s and AMD’s next-generation hardware, making it a highly valuable resource for fans. Using this updated calculator, users can accurately calculate the power requirements of their new system and select a power supply accordingly.
