Space Marine 2 leak has been published on a Russian torrent site
The leak came to light earlier this month when a 70 GB file containing a purported development build of Space Marine 2 surfaced on a Russian torrent website. The build, which dates back to June 20, 2024, fueled speculation that it could be a near-finished version of the game. Speculation was further fueled when publisher Focus Entertainment announced on July 9th that the game was “gold”, indicating that it had been completed for production purposes.

An important reminder is that you should not download files from torrent websites. The files may contain malware, which can damage your computer.
On the other hand, the Space Marine 2 leak video was first published by Insider Gaming in their post here. Apparently, the video was immediately deleted shortly after.
The leaked videos showcasing gameplay footage quickly found their way to online platforms like YouTube. While the videos offer some insight into the game, they also reveal that the build is not completely polished. There were placeholders in some sections, especially in the graphics settings menu. While the leak provided a sneak peek at Space Marine 2, it also raised concerns of copyright infringement and potential spoilers for the game’s campaign, which reportedly features the return of Ultramarine hero Captain Titus.
The leak’s impact on the development team at Saber Interactive has yet to be fully understood. With the cancellation of the planned public beta test to prioritize launch optimization, developers may now have to devote resources to containing the online spread of the leaked content.
