Locate the Calamity Salvager
The first step is to find the Calamity Salvager NPC. You can find the Calamity Salvager in each of the three main cities in FF14:
- Limsa Lominsa: Upper Decks (11.4, 14.4)
- Gridania: Old Gridania (10, 8.4)
- Ul’dah: Steps of Thal (12.6, 13.1)
Speak to the Calamity Salvager
Once you’ve located the Calamity Salvager in your chosen city, interact with them to open a dialogue window.
Navigate to Spectacles Exchange
Inside the dialogue window, navigate through the options presented by the Calamity Salvager. The specific option you’re looking for is called Spectacles Exchange. This option will appear towards the end of their list of services.
Select Spectacles Exchange

Obtain Facewear from Gold Saucer
To expand your Facewear collection, you can purchase various styles of glasses and spectacles from the Gold Saucer. These include:
- Thick-rimmed Glasses: 30,000 MGP
- Contemporary Pince-nez: 40,000 MGP
- Rimless Glasses: 70,000 MGP
- Minstrel’s Spectacles: 90,000 MGP
- Oval Spectacles: 100,000 MGP
Additionally, simpler options like Simple Spectacles and Monocles are available for purchase with gil from Bango Zango in Limsa Lominsa (9.9, 11.4).
