Tech giant Google’s highly anticipated next-generation processor, Tensor G4, offers exciting clues about the performance of Pixel 9 series smartphones with leaked benchmark results.

According to information obtained by Russian technology blog Rozetked, Tensor G4 will be included in the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL models.

Tensor G4’s powerful architecture

According to leaked information, the Tensor G4 will feature a 1+3+4 core configuration with a powerful Cortex-X4 main core clocked at 3.1GHz, three Cortex-A720 medium cores clocked at 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A520 small cores clocked at 1.95GHz. This represents a different approach from previous Tensor chips. The original Tensor and Tensor G2 had a 2+2+4 core layout, while the Tensor G3 used a 1+4+4 configuration.

Performance improvement

Leaked benchmarks show that the Tensor G4 will offer a significant performance boost compared to previous generation Tensor chips. The Pixel 9 series achieves impressive results, especially in AnTuTu benchmarks.

  • Pixel 9 Pro (Caiman), 1,148,452 points
  • Pixel 9 (codenamed Tokay), 1,016,167 points

Optimization and production technology

Of course, it’s important to note that these benchmarks are for pre-release hardware and software, and performance could improve even further with further optimizations before the official launch. Furthermore, the Tensor G4 will be manufactured using Samsung‘s 4nm process and FOWLP (Fan-out Wafer Level Packaging) technology. This could contribute to better heat management and power efficiency performance.

Competition and expectations

While the Tensor G4’s benchmark results are promising, the real question is how the new chip will compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon and Apple’s A-series chips. The Pixel 9 series smartphones are expected to be unveiled later this year. As we get closer to the launch, more details about the Tensor G4 and its real-world performance will emerge.

Google’s Tensor G4 chip is set to open a new chapter in the mobile processor world with the Pixel 9 series. Leaked benchmark results raise expectations for performance gains and advanced features. However, the real test will be used more than the competition. Tech enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the official launch of the Pixel 9 series and to experience the power of Tensor G4.
