Google is rolling out a “web search” feature that completely changes search results. According to early desktop tests, Google’s search engine will change incredibly.
I hear you ask, isn’t searching for something on Google like searching the web? This will be a completely different experience. Thanks to this feature, when you search, you will see a lot of content related to the search, such as ratings, user reviews, etc.
For example, if you want to find information about a concert venue, you can search on Google and access many details about that venue. Here’s all we know about the new feature.
Google Search gets AI boost
The feature, introduced at Google I/O 2024, also offers an optional setting. The setting filters out almost all other blocks of content that Google crams into the search results page.
So how does this work? The answer is in Google’s partnership with Gemini. This powerful artificial intelligence platform provides multi-step reasoning and more accurate search results. In short, Google will now consider factors like location and time of year to deliver a more personalized experience.
We’ve launched a new “Web” filter that shows only text-based links, just like you might filter to show other types of results, such as images or videos. The filter appears on the top of the results page alongside other filters or as part of the “More” option, rolling out today… pic.twitter.com/tIUy9LNCy5

One of the most exciting aspects of this new feature is its potential to transform the way we plan and organize our daily lives. Imagine being able to ask Google for great cocktail recipes to drink with your friends and have the results tailored to your personal preferences and dietary needs. You will be able to do all of this…
The possibilities are endless, and Google is just getting started. With plans to roll out this feature to over 1 billion users by the end of the year, the tech giant is determined to revolutionize how we search and interact with the web. So buckle up and prepare for a new search engine technology era!
