Social media giant TikTok is working on a new photo-sharing app rivaling Instagram. Introduced as TikTok Notes, the application will allow users to create profiles to share photo-oriented posts.
The first details about TikTok Notes emerged with screenshots of messages sent to some users using the application. According to the images, TikTok Notes has a similar interface to Instagram.
Users can upload photos from their gallery or take new photos through the app. They will also be able to apply filters and edits to their photos.
TikTok Notes is on the way
One of the most striking features of TikTok Notes is the plan to integrate TikTok content, just as Meta has connected Instagram and Threads.
Thus, users can share TikTok videos and photos on their profiles.
No official announcement has been made about when the app will be released. However, the app is expected to be available soon.
TikTok Notes is expected to be a serious competitor to Instagram. Especially given TikTok’s large user base, Notes is likely to cause a decline in Instagram’s user numbers and engagement.
