Samsung is taking various measures in the One UI interface to solve the problem. These measures, which were available until One UI 5, included options such as pixel shifting and adjusting screen brightness.
However, the mysterious removal of these measures in the One UI 6.0 update that came with Android 14 worried users. Fortunately, Samsung is bringing back these important features with the One UI 6.1 update.
Here are the features that prevent screen burn-in with One UI 6.1:
- Pixel scrolling: Status bar icons and other static elements are shifted by a few pixels at regular intervals, preventing a static image.
- Screen Brightness adjustment: Screen brightness automatically adjusts according to ambient light, reducing the risk of screen burn-in caused by excessive brightness.
- Screen Saver mode: Screen saver mode automatically turns on when the screen is not in use, minimizing the risk of screen burn-in.
The One UI 6.1 update is currently available for the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and other eligible devices. By updating, you can extend the life of your display and enjoy vibrant colors for many years to come.
