WhatsApp is about to make your status updates even cooler with a brand-new feature: longer stories! Imagine being able to share videos up to 60 seconds long, doubling the current limit. It’s all part of WhatsApp’s plan to keep up with what users want, taking inspiration from Instagram Stories.

You might have heard about this exciting update from WABetaInfo. Right now, it’s being tested in the beta version (2.24.7.6) for Android users. But don’t worry if you can’t try it yet; it’s still in the testing phase, with only a few people getting to play around with it.

This change is a big deal, especially when you think about how Instagram increased its Stories video limit from 60 seconds to 3 minutes. Now, WhatsApp is following suit, giving you more time to tell your stories.

But there’s a catch. While longer videos mean more storytelling, they also mean more time spent watching. If you’re used to quickly scrolling through status updates, this might take some getting used to.

Don’t worry, though. WhatsApp is listening to feedback during this testing phase to make sure everything works smoothly before rolling it out to everyone.

So, when can you expect to try it out? While there’s no exact date yet, it shouldn’t be too long before the update is available to everyone. Until then, watch for the announcement and get ready to make your status updates even more awesome with longer videos!
