How do you get into CES?

CES 2024 day 3 has left behind but there is still one more day to go!

CES is a trade-only event, meaning it’s not open to the general public. However, there are a few ways you might be able to attend depending on your circumstances.

If you work in the consumer technology industry, you can register for a badge by providing proof of affiliation through your company or credentials. These badges come in two tiers: Exhibits Plus Pass and Deluxe Conference Pass, with varying levels of access.

Accredited journalists and media professionals can register for a free press pass to cover the event. You’ll need to demonstrate your media affiliation and past work experience.

Limited student programs or scholarships may be available depending on your field of study and connection to the tech industry. Research specific programs offered by universities or organizations like the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

Is CES always in January?

CES has historically been held in January ever since its inception in 1967. This tradition has become ingrained in the tech industry calendar, making it a reliable yearly event for showcasing the latest advancements and innovations.

There have been a few minor exceptions throughout the years, but January remains the consistent and expected timeframe for CES.

While the future is impossible to predict, barring any unforeseen circumstances, it’s highly likely that CES will continue to take place in January for the foreseeable future. This consistency provides predictability and stability for both participants and tech enthusiasts alike.
