Roblox coming to PS4
Roblox is finally coming to PlayStation. At the 2023 Roblox Developers Conference (RDC), it was announced that the popular social and gaming app will be available on both PS4 and PS5 in October. During Sony’s State of Play event on September 14th, the official release date of October 10th was confirmed.
Roblox is already accessible on various platforms like PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and Xbox. However, the absence of support for Sony’s consoles has been a noticeable gap in Roblox’s lineup.
Honkai Star Rail PS5
The developer, Hoyoverse, has revealed the highly-anticipated release date for its relatively new JRPG. Gamers eager to experience it on Sony’s latest console won’t have to wait long, as it’s launching shortly after the game’s next significant update. Honkai Star Rail is finally making its way to the PS5 on October 11, announced at the PlayStation State of Play September 2023 event.
The PS5 version is set to launch with all the updates already available on PC and mobile since the game supports cross-platform play. Its release on October 11 coincides with the introduction of a new character banner, likely featuring the new unit Jingliu.
The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Collector’s Edition
We finally have a release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, thanks to the PlayStation State of Play September 2023 event. Visit the official Final Fantasy YouTube channel. You can get a look at the impressive Collector’s Edition available in physical format, as well as a bundle with both Remake and Rebirth if you want to catch up on the JRPG saga.
There are different editions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth available:
- The digital deluxe edition costs $99.99 and includes the game, an art book, a mini soundtrack, and a steelbook case.
- The Collector’s Edition, priced at $349.99, includes all of the above and adds digital DLC like summoning Materia, Sephiroth art, and in-game accessories like bracelets and chokers.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be exclusive to the PS5 until at least May 29, 2024, so it won’t be available on other platforms for a while.
Ghostrunner 2
During the PlayStation State of Play event, a new trailer for Ghostrunner 2 was unveiled, announcing its release date on October 26th. The trailer provided a brief glimpse into what to expect from this cyberpunk-themed hack-and-slash game and revealed that a playable demo is already available.
If you’re eager to get your hands on Ghostrunner 2 ahead of its release, you can access the playable demo right now. Keep in mind that it’s not exclusive to PlayStation, but the trailer was revealed during the PlayStation event. Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways DLC
Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 remake is getting a Separate Ways DLC featuring Ada Wong, and it’s set to release on September 21st.
In this expansion, players can experience sections of Resident Evil 4’s story from the perspective of fan-favorite character Ada Wong, offering a new angle on the original game’s suspenseful horror. Separate Ways was first introduced with the PlayStation 2 version of Resident Evil 4 and has since made its way into later HD releases.
A free update for The Mercenaries time attack mode will be launched on the same day, featuring Ada Wong and Wesker.
Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 was also featured in the PlayStation State of Play September 2023 event, providing us with a fresh look at the gameplay and finally revealing its release date as February 8, 2024.
The new trailer showcased the full gameplay experience, complete with comical co-op player commentary reminiscent of old Ubisoft E3 presentations. In between missions, you have the opportunity to upgrade your spaceship, weapons, and armor. You then choose your next destination on a galactic war map. The trailer concludes with a montage of diverse combat encounters, highlighting various planets and enemies, giving a glimpse of the exciting variety in the game.
