If you’re wondering how to play Gun Game MW2’s latest game mode, it is safe to say that you are one of many players who are unable to find the new mode in the game. How to play Gun Game MW2’s newest game mode?
To the best of our knowledge, the Gun Game mode playlist is not currently present in the game. Therefore it’s completely natural that you’re confused about how to play Gun Game MW2. The option doesn’t appear to be present in the game right now, despite being advertised as something that would be added at launch. In addition to Infected and Headline, Gun Game is featured as one of the three launch modes in the official blog post.
“One of three party game modes launching in season, Gun Game is a competition of overall gun skill,” explains the blog post. “Every ranged elimination awards a different weapon, while melee eliminations put your opponent one weapon back on the 18-weapon rotation. Show off your prowess with a variety of weapon categories, then finish the job with a Throwing Knife to win.” Hence, the blog post doesn’t explain how to play Gun Game MW2.
None of the new Party Games are included in Modern Warfare 2 yet, however, rumors indicate that Gun Game has been added to the files and may already be arrived. Even though the mode hasn’t been implemented, you can activate the setting using Free-For-All in Modern Warfare 2’s Private Matches to play Gun Game. To play Gun Game before it is released, however, you can follow these instructions.
- Launch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
- Go to the Private Match mode and choose Free-For-All
- Click Game Setup and go to the Game Rules
- Head over to Gameplay
- There, toggle the Gun Game Weapon Swaps setting to Kills
- Then, you can adjust any other parameters to your liking
By turning on the Gun Game Weapon Swaps setting, you’ll be constantly switching between guns after each victory, much as in the old-school party game. It’s true that this version of Gun Game is really basic. The game will cycle through a variety of weapons, and it won’t necessarily end with a high-skill weapon like a combat knife or throwing knife. Also, until someone achieves the score cap, weaponry will cycle continuously.
However, you may build your own version in Modern Warfare 2’s Private Matches if you’re eager to play some Gun Game with friends or other like-minded players. A future update for Modern Warfare 2 will also add Gunfight, and the Crossbow has also been said to be on the road, which will be ideal for the round-ending kill in Gun Game. If the MW2 version of Gun Game only permits lone parties to join, this will be really helpful.
