Realme is preparing to release its new Realme 10 Pro, also known as the Coke Phone. The Coke Phone is Coca-Cola themed a love letter to the renowned soft drink, continuing the theme from the company’s recent Naruto special edition, with the design primarily influenced by its enduring color palette and instantly identifiable logo.
In this article, we’re going to look at all the little things that make it so desired because it’s actually unique. If you want to learn what specs Realme 10 Pro is going to have and how much it will cost, read on!
The Coke Phone specs
Announced at the end of 2022, the Coke Phone is essentially a Realme 10 Pro, which we compared with other models, and this special edition has the same specifications as the standard model. Because it actually is a Realme 10 Pro, the phone has the following features:
- 108-megapixel primary camera
- 5,000mAh battery
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor
- 6.67-inch AMOLED screen
- 120Hz LCD screen
All of that stuff is fantastic, but the design and painstaking attention to detail are what bring it all together. The rear panel is divided into two parts by the ratio 70/30, with the larger portion being matte black and housing the dual camera modules, and the smaller portion being bright, metallic red with a partial silver Coca-Cola logo.
Despite being made of plastic, the shiny coating does an excellent job of making the panel appear metal. When you take up the phone, the smooth, cool texture also contributes to maintaining the illusion. A little Coca-Cola logo can be seen engraved on the side if you look closely.
The way it catches the light and glitters is absolutely great. At the risk of romanticizing Coke’s incredibly successful marketing, the black and red color scheme with that recognizable logo attached has a very summery feel to it, and the Realme phone does a great job of capturing that. It’s undoubtedly hip and eye-catching without being garish. The only minor drawback is that it might be mistaken for a phone cover bearing the Coca-Cola logo by people who don’t know any better.
The Coke Phone has software with a Coke theme
Realme designed the Coke Phone software with many of the icons that have been altered to match the color scheme or blend in with Coke’s branding. The default background is a newly poured glass of Coke with bubbly fizzes. Although it would be nice if it were animated, apparently not everything is possible.
When you plug in the Coke phone, bubbles start to appear in the fast-charging animation. However, not everything has been as successful. The camera shutter sound is meant to mimic the pop and fizz of opening a bottle of Coke but it could be argued that the attempt kind of fails. Additionally, the press release mentions a unique Coke filter in the manner of the 1980s, but fans express that they can’t find it anywhere.
The five-note “audio branding” sound that is unique to Coke has been jazzed up for the ringtone and notification sounds, which have both been “Coke-ified.” However, we believe that it could have been more tuneful and cheerful. It could be said that it’s fine and it’s a reminder of this great advertising campaign where the same tune was used when a Coke product was scanned at the grocery checkout.
Realme 10 Pro price
Realme initially plans to release the phone only in India on February 14th and in some other countries across Asia in the coming months. The Coke Phones will only sell 6,000 pieces worldwide. And compared to its beautiful design and robust features, the price is significantly reasonable as Realme plans to introduce the phone at $255.
If you wish to buy the new Coke-spirited Realme model, make sure to check their website and other retail markets from 14th February onwards. The phone will go on sale at 12:00 pm and it might be a good idea to hurry if you are interested in the model.
