Elon Musk tweets about an offer he made to McDonald’s if the fast food chain adopted Dogecoin (DOGE). Dogecoin advocate Elon Musk stated that he would be willing to eat a Happy Meal on live air if McDonald’s would take Dogecoin as a payment method.

It all started on Twitter when McDonald’s questioned, “What did I miss?” In response, Tesla’s CEO said, “Oh, hi, lol.”

The UX/UI and graphic designer at Dogecoin, who goes by the handle “DogeDesigner,” then asked Musk if McDonald’s was still interested in taking Dogecoin. Musk responded with a “100” emoji.

Later, DogeDesigner tweeted on his official handle, “Hey McDonald’s, this offer from Mr. Tweet elonmusk is still open.”

Is it possible?

Some Twitter users have responded to the post with the hope that the fast food business may reconsider accepting Dogecoin.

In January 2022, Musk said he would eat a happy meal in front of the world if McDonald’s accepted Dogecoin. The fast food chain’s “happy meal” consists of an entree, a side, and a drink, and is marketed specifically to children.

McDonald’s saw Musk’s post and pressured Tesla to adopt a fake cryptocurrency they created called “Grimacecoin.” Although many assumed Musk’s campaign to get McDonald’s to accept Dogecoin was done after the corny joke, recent Twitter interactions may indicate otherwise.
