What does Siphon mean in Fortnite?

It can make the matches more intense, as each hit deals damage to one player while healing the other by the same amount, resulting in a back and forth dynamic as teams strive to balance health and damage.
Epic Games has previously tested this feature in the past, including in a limited time mode (LTM) released in December, and it is a common feature in competitive matches. However, it was briefly included in Fortnite Season 7 but was taken out as it resulted in excessively aggressive gameplay.
Why is it called Siphon?
The mechanic known as “Siphon” was first introduced in the “Siphon Limited Time Mode” in Fortnite on December 20th, as part of the 14 Days of Fortnite event. This mode only allowed players to regain shield or health by killing opponents, unlike the current version of the Siphon mechanic.

For a brief period, all Fortnite players were required to play with these mechanics.
