These laptops are set to be some of the most powerful and feature-packed options on the market, and we can’t wait to see what they have to offer. Stay tuned as we delve into the details of these impressive machines.

Alienware is introducing new versions of its M- and X-series gaming laptops at CES 2023. The company, like Razer and Acer, is moving towards thinner, more powerful 16- and 18-inch laptops rather than the traditional 15- and 17-inch models.

Alienware M18: Specs, price and release date

Alienware is releasing a new version of its M18, a 18-inch laptop that is intended to be a substitute for a desktop computer. This model has not been updated since 2015, but the new version for 2023 will come equipped with Intel’s 13th Generation HX CPUs and Nvidia’s RTX 4090 mobile graphics card. Alienware M18 will also offer the latest processors and graphics options from AMD later in the year.

Alienware M18 is not only a large and powerful laptop, but it also has a number of other notable features. It can be configured with an 18-inch QHD Plus screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and has a variety of ports including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, and an SD card reader. It has user-upgradeable dual DDR5 RAM slots and can hold up to 9TB of NVMe M.2 storage. The base price for this model is $2,099, but the initial configuration being released will cost $2,899.

Alienware X16: Specs, price and release date

We are more excited for Alienware’s new flagship 16-inch model, the X16. It has a smaller chassis than the X17 from the previous year, but its display is actually 14% larger due to the adoption of the taller 16:10 aspect ratio. It is also Alienware’s first laptop with six speakers. Alienware X16 will support Intel’s 13th Generation processors and Nvidia’s RTX 4090. The base price for Alienware X16 is $2,149, but a high-end option costing $3,099 will be released first.

Alienware X16 has been designed using Alienware’s Legend 3 design language, which brings some convenience improvements

Both the M18 and X16 have been designed using Alienware’s Legend 3 design language, which brings some convenience improvements. They both have “V-rail” edges that are intended to improve the comfort of the palm rest and make it easier to lift the display. Additionally, there is a new rubber foot on the bottom of the laptops that is intended to improve airflow.

In the past, Dell and Alienware have primarily released 15- and 17-inch gaming laptops, but that will change in 2023. The X-series will include the X14 R2 (an updated version of the X14 from the previous year) and 16-inch models, while the M-series will have 16- and 18-inch models. All of these laptops will be available in the first few months of 2023.
