Elden Ring is convoluted and hard. Players are constantly looking for tips and tricks. Our Rold Route Elden Ring guide is to help such players.

Elden Ring has received nearly unanimous acclaim from both gamers and journalists. The game’s fantastic environment – the Lands Between – has received a lot of attention. The Lands Between is brimming with intriguing and awe-inspiring locations.

The Grand Lift of Rold is one of them, and it may be accessed after fighting Morgott, The Omen King, in Leyndell. It leads to the next major section in the game, Mountaintops of the Giants. However, before you can access the Rold Route, you must first ascend the Rold Grand Lift. After killing Morgott, the Rold Route appears as a red map marker on the east side of Leyndell. However, it is not immediately clear how to access it and progress the game.

As with most things in Elden Ring, getting to the Rold Route isn’t very apparent or easy. The game has a map marker, but that’s all it does. It is up to you to find out how to get there. First and foremost, I would recommend placing a beacon on the map marker. Because of the blue pillar of light, you can see the exact location from a distance. It should help you figure out how close you are.

First, you must battle Morgott, The Omen King. After that, proceed to the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. Take the nearest stairwell and turn left. Continue down the walkway until you reach a set of enormous double doors. Pass through the doors, then straight ahead to the steps. At the top of the stairs, turn left into the archway flanked by statues. Pull the lever on the platform ahead of you. This will cause an elevator to be activated.

And that’s it – you’ve reached the Rold Route and can now advance to the Grand Lift of Rold. Just make sure you’re prepared for a number of tough enemies on your way to the Rold Route.

About Elden Ring

Elden Ring is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with worldbuilding provided by fantasy writer George R. R. Martin. The game was released for old-gen and new-gen consoles on February 25. In the game, players control a customizable player character on a journey to repair the titular Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord. The game is presented from a third-person perspective, with players roaming its interactive open world. Gameplay elements include combat using several types of weapons and magic spells, horseback riding and crafting.

FromSoftware wanted to create an open-world game with gameplay similar to Dark Souls, intending Elden Ring to act as an evolution of the first game in the series. Miyazaki admired Martin’s work and hoped his contributions would produce a more accessible narrative than FromSoftware’s previous games. Elden Ring received critical acclaim for its open-world gameplay systems and setting, with criticism going towards its technical performance upon release. The game had sold more than 17.5 million copies by October 2022.
