You want the new temperature sensor
During its presentation, Apple made it abundantly clear that the highlight of this year’s Apple Watch update was its new temperature sensor. It can use its readings and those from other sensors to create a more complete picture of the wearer’s health in addition to just basic body temperature data. The only materials available for the Apple Watch Series 8 right now are stainless steel and less-colorful aluminum.
You don’t care a lot about the latest health tech

Customers might not think that alone is sufficient justification to purchase a Series 8 given the hypothetical nature of that scenario. Apple hopes the new body temperature sensor will dispel any skepticism. It’s important to note that cycle tracking and fertility are the two more advanced applications for the new temperature sensor in the Series 8. People without those interests can still use it, although in fewer ways, for example, to check for fever.
You have a tight budget
At this year’s event, Apple also unveiled an upgraded Apple Watch SE (2nd generation). Although this most recent update to the entry-level line brings its performance close to that of the new Apple Watch Series 8, it still has larger bezels and lacks the always-on display technology found in the main-line Series 7 and 8.
Given a result, the Series 7 will probably still be the better option if you need the enhanced display features but don’t want to break the bank, as its pricing is currently far lower than the Series 8’s launch price and is expected to go down more.
