Lots of free PS Plus games coming in September. One of the best shooters of 2021 will be included in PS Plus’s first fresh batch of classic games since the revised subscription service debuted.
Cult classic PS1 shooter Syphon Filter 2, PS3 platformer Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and another trio of raccoon-driven platformers in The Sly Collection are just a few of the vintage PlayStation games coming to PS Plus Premium in September. Since the retro game lineups for August and July left Premium customers in the dark, this is the first time any new PS1 or PS3 games have been added.
Deathloop is coming to PS Plus!
For PS Plus Extra subscribers, a number of newer games will also be available, including Deathloop, the notable PS5 shooter from the previous year. You are placed in the role of an assassin trapped in a time loop in this game, which was created by the same studio as Prey and Dishonored 2. There are all the typical immersive sim characteristics, such as clever stealth mechanics, gorgeously vertical level design, and a multiplayer invasion mode that is competitive.
Do you know Deathloop might be coming to Xbox Game Pass?
A few Ubisoft games are also coming to PS Plus Extra. The Ubisoft+ component that is already a part of the platform will be expanded to include Assassins’ Creed Origins and Watch Dogs 2. The titles’ recent addition to Microsoft’s rival Xbox Game Pass signals an expanding overlap between the two subscription services.
Also included for PS Plus Essential users are three new games. They consist of the racing game Need for Speed Heat from 2019, the Granblue Fantasy: Versus fighting game spinoff, and the puzzle game Toem featuring monochromatic photography. The three can be claimed up until October 3.
Paint-based adventure game Chicory: A Colorful Tale, somber management sim Spiritfarer, and crazy 2D platformer Rayman Legends are also coming to PS Plus for all Extra and Premium users.

The free games coming to PS Plus this month seem to please almost any game enthusiast. Need for Speed Heat, one of the best NFS games made in recent years, allows you to tour the streets of Palm City, which is completely fictional, although the story is not satisfying. For arcade racing game lovers, Need for Speed Heat promises great fun.
Action-RPG lovers will be guests of Ancient Egypt with Assassin’s Creed Origins. In Origins, the first game of its genre that has hit the spotlight in recent years, you will often leave the story behind to browse extremely realistic models of Ancient Egypt and visit cities.
Although the Watch Dogs series came out as a competitor to GTA, it caught a unique audience. Although Watch Dogs 2 is not a game to be praised, it promises enjoyable hours with its hack theme and fun San Francisco atmosphere.
