Destiny 2 Fortnite skins appear to be on the way from Bungie. A well-known Destiny dataminer named Ginsor has confirmed the crossover after Fortnite leaker MidaRado promised a potential Destiny 2 collaboration over the weekend. The image he shared shows off several iconic Fortnite skins in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 Fortnite skins are on their way
The picture, which was probably taken from Bungie’s website, shows a Titan armor set that closely resembles the Black Knight skin that was first available with the Fortnite season 2 season pass. Both the Hunter and the Warlock in Destiny resemble Fortnite’s Omega skin and have similar Drift Masks.

When and how these Destiny 2 Fortnite skins will be included in the game are yet unknown. The Fortnite skins are probably going to be ornaments that can be applied to any armor sets in Destiny 2, allowing gamers to personalise their characters. There are several characters Bungie may possibly integrate into the Fortnite universe, and rumors also say that Fortnite could receive its own Destiny skins.
The leak coincides with a fresh report that Destiny 2 would be released on the Epic Store. If so, that would provide a convincing explanation for why the crossover is taking place. A leak from last year gave rise to the notion that Destiny 2 might be available on the Epic Store.
Fortnite would be the second significant crossover for the previously wary Destiny series in a year. The first instance involved Bungie’s Halo television series. Whatever copium some Destiny critics claim the community would need to comprehend, this would undoubtedly be something new for Destiny 2. Crossovers have so far only occurred for significant events, and they have been quite modest, so it is unclear whether they will occur frequently. This one, in my opinion, is also done quite nicely.
Bungie has also provided crossover content to Destiny 2 in the past. With the release of special DLC for Destiny 2 to mark Bungie’s 30th anniversary, Halo-inspired weapons were included. A sidearm like a Magnum and a pulse rifle resembling a Battle Rifle were featured in the 30th Anniversary bundle for Destiny 2 that was published before the end of last year.
This Destiny 2 Fortnite skins leak occurs just days before Bungie is scheduled to release Lightfall, the upcoming major franchise expansion, as well as season 18 of Destiny 2. The Destiny 2 showcase will start at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET on Tuesday, August 23.
At least from our perspective in the business, Destiny is the most well-known game series at the moment for leaks and datamines, and occasionally Bungie’s own workers are the ones responsible—like with the latest Poison subclass issue. Which, in all honesty, is pretty good. It appears that Bungie’s employees are not afraid of their employer.
Season 18 of Destiny 2 is currently kicking off this week on August 23 and is currently rocking its way into it. It includes significant changes to the Arc powerset that are seriously motivated by that one Jason Statham film. There will also be a new raid, which is actually an older raid from the original Destiny that has been updated. It is the first significant Destiny 2 demonstration after Bungie was acquired by Sony earlier this year for $3.6 billion.
