Next month, the first-ever Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will launch, showcasing brand-new video game announcements from Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel, and other popular franchises.

The digital exhibition, which will make its debut on September 9 at the D23 Expo, has already committed to provide more information on Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Skydance New Media’s Marvel ensemble game by Amy Hennig, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Disney Dreamlight Valley.

You can watch the trailer here:

According to Disney, Marvel Titles, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games will all be partially present at the showcase and deliver “reveals, announcements, and previews for new and future games.”

How to watch Disney and Marvel Games Showcase?

Due to the simultaneous online streaming of the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, even those who are not attending the D23 Expo may follow along. At 1 PM Pacific, 4 PM Eastern, and 9 PM UK, it will be accessible on the expo’s YouTube and social media outlets in addition to Disney and Marvel’s primary channels (and 6AM on September 10 AEST).

It’s unknown exactly what kind of announcements will be made during the event given that this is the first ever Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, but there are a huge amount of Marvel and Star Wars games in development to select from.

Wolverine game is coming!

Despite having a 2023 release date, not much has been reported about Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2 since its announcement in September.

As it is known, the first Spider-Man game was released as Remastered for PC and PS5 recently and received great acclaim. The game also has the feature of being the first Spider-Man game to be offered for sale for PC after many years with its developed graphics and gameplay.

Insomniac is also working on a Wolverine game, while Marvel Snap, a digital card game, is now in beta and waiting for a release date.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the game from the movie of the same name, released in 2009, was extremely successful, but never received the attention it deserved. A new Wolverine game is currently under development and the details have not been announced yet. Although it is not known which period of Wolverine’s story will be the subject, adamantium windows seen in the teaser published about the game reveal that the character went through Striker’s experiments.

Although the production, developed by Insomniac Games, is currently being introduced as PS5 exclusive, there may be news that will delight other console and PC users next month.

On the Star Wars front, we are aware that Zynga’s online Overwatch-style game, Star Wars: Hunters, has lately been postponed to 2023. Developer Respawn revealed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a follow-up to Fallen Order, in May with a teaser trailer, so they might reveal a little more during this showcase.

Other games in development include an open world game from Ubisoft, a first-person shooter from Respawn, a remake of Knights of the Old Republic, and Star Wars Eclipse, a story-driven game with branching paths. Amy Hennig is also working on a Star Wars game.

When will KOTOR Remake be released?

As it is known, KOTOR Remake was delayed indefinitely in the past days. After the producer Aspyr shared the demo of the game with Disney, 2 directors from the game company were dismissed.

NEWS: The Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remake is indefinitely delayed, Bloomberg has learned. Developer Aspyr abruptly fired two directors this month and told staff that the project is on pause as it tries to figure out what comes next. https://t.co/3NUlKkenR6

For now, a release date is not specified for the new production, but game lovers were waiting for KOTOR Remake with great excitement. The Disney and Marvel Games Showcase may reveal new information about the fate of KOTOR Remake.
