The Steam Summer Sale 2022 date has been revealed, and gamers now have a clear indication when the following sales event will begin on PC and Steam Deck. Valve’s smaller one of the biannual set of discounts will be available later this week as part of the next major event being held on one of the world’s largest gaming platforms. We don’t know which games will be highlighted or how much of a discount each title will receive, but there’s a good chance that at least 75% of Steam’s library will be on sale.
Steam Summer Sale 2022 is almost here
Steam continues the yearly tradition. Throughout the year, there are several sales, allowing players to acquire all of their games at a discount. Thousands of games but so little time. Steam sales gave the econo-psychological “decision fatigue” phenomenon a new meaning. We started buying hundreds of games at cheap prices while never looking at them again.
Did you see some “best this and that games” compilation on YouTube and think “If I had this, I’d sink hours in it” and then realize you already bought that game in 2017 but never played? Yeah, me too. Valve will try to amplify your existential dread and make your wallet even lighter.
The Steam Summer Sale 2022 is the main mid-year sale, during you may get a large number of games for a reduced price. You can also use Points Shop to find things like Game Profiles customization, a Choose Your Own Adventure-style mini-event, and more. Every day, you get one trading card for finishing your Discovery queue. Speaking of customizing your profile, did you know you could also do that for the application itself? Here’s how you can sharp dress your Steam client.
When does the Steam summer Sale 2022 start?
The Steam Summer Sale 2022 release date has been leaked by a trustworthy source (Steam Database) that indicates it will begin on Thursday, June 23. The Steam Summer Sale 2022 is expected to run for two weeks, concluding on July 7, 2022. During that time, Valve will do discounts on thousands of games.
The Steam Summer Sale will begin at 10am Pacific Time on July 23, or 6pm BST in the United Kingdom. The day of the next sale’s start, Valve is likely to reveal a new theme for it. In April 2021, 14 themed web pages were launched with “micro-adventures,” each culminating in an animated sticker and culminating in a “fate-forged badge.” Different game tiers were accessible through the Points Shop, as well as new game profiles that could be unlocked. There were also animated backdrops, mini-profiles, avatars, and color schemes from various games.
This week also has the conclusion of Next Fest, which Valve announced would come to an end on June 20 at 10 a.m. PT: “Today through June 20th, we’re showcasing over 1,000 demos for the newest next games across every genre from teams all around the world! Throughout Next Fest, you’ll be able to try the following unreleased titles for free – there will be no expo halls or queues.
“Browse by category, or a game’s primary tags, to find demos in your favorite genre; you can even search by sub-genres or specific features. Check out the Event Schedule for developer-hosted live streams and chats to see who you might like to connect with.”
Valve isn’t known for giving out a lot of information before a big sales event on Steam, but recent sales have seen some news leaked ahead. So there is a slim chance we will learn more about Steam Summer Sale 2022, including its theme, sometime over the next 48-hours. Did you know that Riot Games titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass, well, that subscription pack is even more attractive now!
