Epic Games Borderlands 3 is now free until May 26th
The popular first-person shooter Borderlands 3 is now available for free on the Epic Games Store, giving anyone with a decent PC a chance to play. Until 11 a.m. ET on May 26, “Borderlands 3” will be free to download. Epic says another well-known game will become available for free that day but it doesn’t reveal the title. Epic Games Borderlands 3 was one of the year’s best-selling releases, and developer Gearbox Software is continuing to support the game with paid additions and free updates. Crossplay is supported in the game, so you may play using your Epic Games Store copy with friends who have Borderlands 3 on Xbox or Steam. With a future update, players who own Borderlands 3 on PlayStation will be able to crossplay too.
The Borderlands series is also being turned into a movie with Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jack Black in the cast.
How to get Borderlands 3 for free?
By logging into the Epic Games Store app or website and then selecting “Get” on the game’s product page, you can obtain Borderlands 3 for free. You should already have an account if you’ve played “Fortnite,” but if not, you may create a new account easily.

Borderlands 3: How to crossplay between Steam and Epic Games?
Borderlands 3 has finally arrived on Steam in 2020 and crossplay is available with those on Epic Games. After a six-month period in which it was exclusively available on the Epic Games Store, Borderlands 3 has at long last arrived on Steam. PC gamers on Steam and Epic Games can now play with one another, even if there is no crossplay between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Gearbox’s most recent update enables players on the Steam and Epic Games Store to crossplay with each other, allowing them to do so for the first time. Borderlands 3 players must activate “PC Cross-Play” after launching the game in order to crossplay between Steam and Epic Games.
For those who disabled the option but now wish to enable it, you can do so at anytime by visiting the General section of the Network & Social menu in Options.
Once you’ve enabled crossplay and decided upon your PC Cross-Play Display Name, you’ll then be able to Matchmake and send Game Invites to people on PC regardless of whether they play through the Epic Games Store or Steam.
Borderlands 3: How to crossplay on PS4 and Xbox One?
There’s no telling when Epic Games Borderlands 3 will have crossplay on PS4 and Xbox One. After the release of Borderlands 3, Gearbox had committed to working towards crossplay, but no launch date for PS4 or Xbox One has been announced. In an interview with The Sixth Axis published on March 3rd, Gearbox CCO Dan Hewitt stated:
“We’re still working on it. We’re not done yet. So we probably aren’t going to be able to do that. It’s [crossplay] always something we are looking at. [There are] lots of different things that we can do, but for right now, we’re focused just right now on DLC 2, making sure that that’s a success, and making sure that [with] PC crossplay, we could welcome our Steam Community back to Pandora.”
