Steam sales gave the econo-psychological “decision fatigue” phenomenon a new meaning. We started buying hundreds of games at cheap prices while never looking at them again.

Golden Week Sale 2022
The Steam Golden Week Sale 2022 is dedicated to Japanese video game developers. During the Golden Week, which is a span of seven days that begins on April 29 and includes several Japanese holidays, games from publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and others have special discounts. Golden Week is expected to be active April 29 – May 5.
Open World Sale 2022
In 2021, the Spring Cleaning Event was replaced by the Steam Open World Sale, which reduced the price of several open-world games while also including live broadcasts from participating titles. It was an ideal moment to acquire games that offer you the opportunity to sink hundreds of hours, if not more. It’s too early to tell whether it’ll reappear in 2022 or be replaced by another sale. Open World sale is expected to be active between May 22 – May 30.
Season of Pride Sale 2022
The Steam Season of Pride Sale 2022 shines the spotlight on lots of minority inclusive games, both upcoming and released. Its discounts largely apply to indie titles, usually covering a variety of genres. Season of Pride sale is expected to be active between June 9 – June 23.
Summer Sale 2022
The Steam Summer Sale 2022 is the main mid-year sale, during you may get a large number of games for a reduced price. You can also use Points Shop to find things like Game Profiles customization, a Choose Your Own Adventure-style mini-event, and more. Every day, you get one trading card for finishing your Discovery queue. Speaking of customizing your profile, did you know you could also do that for the application itself? Here’s how you can sharp dress your Steam client. Summer Sale is expected to be active between June 23 – July 7.
Halloween Sale 2022
The Steam Halloween Sale 2022 is largely dedicated to horror games. If you enjoy the genre, this is the sale to watch for, especially since it frequently features several in-game Halloween events. After you’ve built up your collection of horror games, add some of those non-horror titles to your wishlist for the next sale. Halloween sale is expected to be active between October 28 – November 1.
Autumn Sale 2022
The 2022 Steam Autumn Sale targets Black Friday and Cyber Monday, ensuring that PC gamers don’t miss out on any of the savings. Aside from less expensive games, the Steam Autumn Sale 2022 also enables players to submit their favorite titles for the end-of-year Steam Awards. Autumn Sale is expected to be active between November 24 – December 1
Winter Sale 2022
The Steam Winter Sale 2022 is the year’s final countdown, featuring discounts bigger than any of the previous sale events. Winter Sale is expected to be active between December 22 – January 5
In previous years, each new Winter Sale offered a minigame of its own, but this was not the case in 2020 and 2021. Let’s see if we’ll get any mini-game this year.
