Intel has yet to debut its Arc Alchemist desktop graphics cards. Benchleaks, a hardware sleuth, has already discovered an Intel ARc GPU benchmark for the Arc A770, Intel’s supposed top-end SKU that will compete with the best graphics cards.

What is the Intel Arc GPU benchmark score?
The Arc A770 is the desktop version of the Arc A770M, and it doesn’t require a scientific degree to see that. The Geekbench 5 test results show that the Arc A770 has 512 execution units, or Xe Vector Engines (XVE), as Intel refers to them. That implies that the graphics card includes all of ACM-G10 silicon with 32 Xe-cores. As a result, the Arc A770 is identical to the A770M in terms of configuration but runs faster clock speeds.
The Geekbench 5 submission’s Arc A770M may be an engineering sample, so don’t trust the reported clock speeds. The base clock wasn’t recorded in the Arc A770 software. Nonetheless, the software picked up the boost clock, which came down to 2,400 MHz. For comparison, the Arc A770M has a 1,650 MHz base clock. The benchmark program also identified 12.7 GB of memory onboard; however, that is probably a mistake. Like other AMD graphics cards with GDDR6 memory, the Arc A770 should have 16GB of GDDR6 memory.
Comparison: Intel Arc A770 vs Nvidia and AMD
Graphics Card | OpenCL Score | Shaders | Memory |
---|---|---|---|
Radeon RX 6700 XT | 102,988 | 2,560 | 12GB GDDR6 |
GeForce RTX 3060 | 96,416 | 3,584 | 12GB GDDR6 |
GeForce RTX 2070 | 85,818 | 2,304 | 8GB GDDR6 |
Arc A770 | 85,585 | 4,096 | 16GB GDDR6 |
Radeon RX 6600 XT | 82,559 | 2,048 | 8GB GDDR6 |
The OpenCL performance isn’t representative of gaming performance, and Geekbench 5 isn’t the best benchmark for gaming performance evaluation. So take the findings with a grain of salt. The Arc A770 achieved a score of 85,585 points in the OpenCL benchmark, which was roughly equal to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060. The graphics card from Intel was somewhat faster than the Radeon RX 6600 XT. However, the Arc A770 fell short against Nvidia’s and AMD’s champions, who outperformed it by 12.7% and 20.3%, respectively.
Intel has started hinting at its Arc Alchemist desktop graphics cards, but they won’t be available until this summer.
